Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will face in the sixth major final between each other after they came through on top of their World Grand Prix semi-final ties. They respectively defeated Jonny Clayton 5-1 and Danny Noppert 5-3.
Both produced dominant displays to advance to the final, as the top two ranked players in the world continued their rivalry on the big stage, with Humphries last coming out on top in the Premier League. Littler will be hoping to get revenge to win yet another major in 2025.

The Ferret detonated by The Nuke

Clayton took out 85 on the bull to go ahead but was over-shadowed by a show-stopping 161 checkout from Littler to tie proceedings. The world champion goes on to win the next two legs to claim the first leg.
The Ferret follows up with a 118 to start the second set, but three legs on the spin from Littler accelerates himself into a 2-0 lead. For the second set in a row, Clayton starts with a ton+ checkout, this time with a 154 out shot on double 17. He goes on to take the third set, needlessly pinning the bull for a 128 checkout.
He went on to find himself 2-1 ahead in the second set and was left on 32 to level proceedings. However, Littler showed his class by taking out 140 to regain his two-leg cushion.
It was a sickening pill to swallow for the Welshman, who went on to lose all three sets in the next set, as a rampant Littler had sights on the finish line. He took out 96 in two, before following that with another two dominant legs to reach a sixth major final in 2025.

Humphries derails Noppert

Humphries was electric at the start of the match, pinning a stunning 155 checkout on the way to a one set lead. He continued his brilliant form on the way to doubling his advantage, despite Noppert forcing a last-leg decider..
It was routine for Humphries as he won the third set without dropping a single set, cruising into an ominous lead. Noppert only managed to reach a finish once in that set, with the 2023 champion seemingly cruising to another final.
It would not be that easy, as the Dutchman won a last-leg decider in the third set, keeping this tie firmly in his grasp. He would then find himself 2-1 ahead in the next set, as he commenced with a 145 out shot. However, Humphries fought back and stole the set to claim back his two-leg cushion.
The Freeze would go on to win the next two sets 3-1 as the world number one suffered a dip in form. He closed the gap to 4-3, keeping his hopes of a second major final alive, but Humphries slammed that door shut with a much more convincing eighth set, finding a 135 and 110 checkout to go 2-0 ahead. He confirmed a third consecutive World Grand Prix final appearance on double 12, as he looks to regain his title he first won in 2023.
