Lowe after dumping out fourth seed Smith: "He was shouting a bit and I thought I've got you here"

Jason Lowe produced a superb display to dump out the former World Championship finalist and fourth seed in Michael Smith 3-1.

Lowe hit seven 180's and a 96 average as he outscored and outplayed 'Bully Boy' throughout the match. He spoke afterwards about his mindset in the match and admitted that Smith getting annoyed spurred him on.

"How many people here thought I was going to do that. I'm very happy with the result, I played tonight with no pressure because I was the underdog, Michael (Smith) was the clear favourite. I just thought I'll play my game tonight and I'll see what happens," said Lowe post match.

"I was getting jittery towards the end but I could feel he was getting frustrated and that made me play even better because I knew he was struggling."

"I could hear him getting frustrated and it's something I don't do, you don't ever see me do emotion. He was shouting a bit and I thought I've got you here."
