Averaging 100.66, with five 180s,
Luke Humphries edged out
Gerwyn Price to secure his spot in the final of Night 3 in the Premier League where he will face Michael van Gerwen.
In an electric start, Humphries and Price both clattered in 180s in the first leg, but Humphries safely held the throw and threatened to break straight away, missing bull for a 124.
The worst leg of the match quickly followed where Humphries held with a 22-dart leg, but after five consecutive holds of throw, he broke Price's throw in leg six to lead 4-2, leaving Price needing two breaks back.
Price did break back in the following leg but Humphries made amends in leg eight to lead 5-3 before securing his place in the final.
After beating Aspinall in the quarter-finals, where Asp missed D12 for a nine-darter, Humphries has looked back to his usual self in this mini-tournament.
For Price however, the crucial moments simply didn't go his way and after needing a break straight away after losing the bull before the match, when Humphries broke it gave him too much to do.
Humphries will now leave tonight with at least three points while Price goes home with two.
