Michael van Gerwen beats Rob Cross to make it back-to-back nightly finals in the Premier League in Night 3 in Glasgow

In a clinical display against Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen booked his place in the final of Night 3 of the Premier League in Glasgow.

Averaging 99.04, hitting four 180s and 75% on doubles, van Gerwen sealed the win in style by checking out 88 on the bull.

As Cross won the throw on the bull before the match, MvG needed a break to have a chance of victory - which came in leg five after being fortunately afforded six visits to the board.

The best leg of the match came in leg four, where MvG went 140, 180, 145 and D18 to seal a 10-darter.

After beating home-favourite Peter Wright in a scratchy affair earlier in the evening, this was a much more accomplished display.

Now having secured three points for his efforts tonight, MvG will look to make it back-to-back nightly wins as he faces the winner of Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price later tonight.
