In front of a partisan crowd, Leeds United fan Luke Humphries delighted the Leeds crowd by taking victory on Night 15 of the 2024 Premier League Darts in Leeds.
In a nip and tuck final against Michael van Gerwen, it was actually the Dutchman who had the early advantage. When Humphries took out a stunning 132 to level up at 3-3 however, momentum seemed to shift in the world champion's favour.
Despite the fact Humphries missed a dart for the match I'm leg 10, with van Gerwen punishing and sending the tie to a decider, it was the Englishman who took the win on double top, being serenaded with a celebratory rendition of Leeds United anthem 'Marching on Together' afterwards.
