Luke Humphries treated darting fans to a spectacle during a recent exhibition event in Germany as he hit a nine-dart finish to win against Stephen Bunting in dramatic circumstances.
The 2024 World Champion produced a perfect leg against Bunting on Friday with two 180's followed by a 141 checkout to spark hysteria at the Buderus Arena.
Darts fans had gathered for the Wetzlar Darts Gala which as well as the leading duo also included Adrian Lewis, Jonny Clayton and Martin Schindler.
Remarkably too Humphries has only hit a nine-dart finish four times in his competitive career so to do it in an exhibition also in front of a paying crowd expecting a show was certainly the show they wanted and more.
He posted a series of reaction videos on his Instagram story with one of them posted below of the 141 and the fans going wild.
It was part of a pretty wild exhibition with Schindler introducing Humphries to the crowd before the match. Bunting as ever the sportsman applauded Humphries for his effort. Both will be back in action next weekend in Bahrain and given the fact that Littler hit a nine-dart finish last year, could we seen another next weekend?
