Luke Littler keeps smashing records on the darts stage, but even the current world number one isn’t infallible. The 19-year-old sensation had to admit after his latest major triumph that he’d made a striking blunder: he forgot his girlfriend Faith Millar’s birthday. Fortunately for Littler, he had something else to show for it – the prestigious World Masters trophy and a cheque worth a whopping £100,000.
Last Sunday, Littler made history again by winning the World Masters for the first time in his career. In a thriller of a final in Milton Keynes, he edged compatriot Luke Humphries 6-5. With that, “The Nuke” ticked off another event he had never previously won. The only major still missing from his honours list is the European Championship.

Girlfriend’s birthday

Littler was notably candid in his post-match interviews. Grinning broadly, he confessed: “It is Faith’s birthday. I didn’t get her anything, but at least I got the trophy.
“We can go shopping tomorrow. It’s going to go.”
The young Englishman admitted he didn’t feel excessive pressure before the final. Even so, his private life played an unconscious role. “There was no pressure on me today, but there was a little bit to try and get the win for her and my family.”

Millions in the bank, gifts on the way

With his Winmau World Masters victory, Littler has further boosted his impressive earnings over the past year. Including this latest prize, he has earned almost three million pounds in prize money over twelve months. That makes making up for a forgotten birthday a lot easier.
Asked if he needed help picking out a present for his girlfriend, Littler replied calmly. "She can think of something. I can definitely treat her.”
So a nice gift still seems to be in store for Faith Millar. The Brit has been with Littler since March 2025 and is now a regular face in the stands at his matches. At virtually every major tournament she is there to cheer on her boyfriend.
Millar was also present last month when Littler successfully defended his world title at the World Championship. That victory brought him not only eternal glory, but also a top prize of one million pounds. Since then, Littler has definitively become the face of modern darts.

New challenge on the way

Littler won’t have long to bask in his latest success. The darts calendar is packed and the next challenge is just around the corner. On Thursday, the Premier League Darts 2026 gets underway, with Littler once again among the leading favorites.
On Night 1 at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, Littler faces Gian van Veen in the quarterfinals. The match is a rematch of the World Championship final, where Littler dominated 7-1 to secure his second consecutive world title.
