Luke Littler and
Gerwyn Price have become the first two players to secure a spot in the last four at the
Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch on Saturday night. Later in the evening they will meet in the semifinals.
The first quarterfinal was a repeat of the World Championship final between Luke Littler and
Luke Humphries. The latter managed to take a 4-2 lead thanks to a 108 finish, but with two 14-darters, Littler came back to 4-4. A third 14-darter in a row brought Littler to 5-4, before Humphries forced a deciding leg with a 16-darter. Littler then won the final leg with an 88 finish.
Price was responsible for the elimination of
Kevin Doets, who went ahead 1-2 with a 106 check-out. However, with a 15-darter and a 68 finish Price took the lead back. A 17-darter made it 4-2. In the end "The Iceman" won 6-3.
The other two quarterfinals consist solely of Dutchmen. Michael van Gerwen faces Raymond van Barneveld, while Danny Noppert takes on Gian van Veen.
