Luke Littler celebrates UK Open title with Luke Humphries at Cheltenham Festival

Things are moving at a remarkable pace for darts sensation Luke Littler. The 19-year-old Englishman continues to impress on the oche and appears to be enjoying himself off it as well. Just days after adding another major title to his résumé, he was spotted at the iconic Cheltenham Festival, where he had fresh reason to celebrate.

Littler, who won the UK Open last weekend for the second year running, made the trip to the famed Cheltenham Racecourse, also known as Prestbury Park, to enjoy one of the year’s biggest horse racing events alongside friends and fellow darts players. Among those in attendance were world-class stars Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall. Littler was also accompanied by his girlfriend, Faith Millar.

The young darter watched from a hospitality suite, where he and his group followed the races closely. Photos and footage from the event show a visibly excited Littler passionately cheering on the horses. When one of his bets came in, he erupted into a jubilant celebration with clenched fists and applause. Reports also suggest Humphries landed a tidy win, allegedly earning over £3,000 on the day’s opening race.

That Littler enjoyed himself comes as no surprise. A few days earlier, he captured another major darts title by winning the UK Open Darts Championship. In the final, he defeated veteran James Wade 11-7. The victory earned him a £120,000 cheque and marked his twelfth major title within the PDC.

Remarkably, Littler did not even start that tournament at his best. He showed some inconsistency in the early rounds, but as the weekend progressed, he played his way back to the top level. In the business end of the event, he underlined why he is currently regarded as one of the sport’s brightest talents.

Thanks to his recent success, Littler also extended his lead atop the PDC Order of Merit. He has now amassed more than £2.8 million in prize money. That puts him well ahead of his nearest challenger, Luke Humphries, who sits around £1.2 million. No other player currently comes close to Littler’s impressive total.

Littler also stood out at Cheltenham with a stylish outfit. The young Englishman wore a light grey blazer with a pink tie and matching shirt, paired with dark trousers and sporty sneakers. His girlfriend also opted for pink accents, sporting a striking pink blazer over a black outfit.

Littler later shared clips of his day on social media, where he now has more than two million followers. With a short message, he thanked the clothing brand that supplied his outfit.

After a successful day at the racecourse, Littler will surely hope his winning momentum continues. Both on the oche and beyond, “The Nuke” looks almost unstoppable at the moment.
