Luke Littler is missing from this weekend's
Nordic Darts Masters in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Danish darts fans will no doubt be saddened not to be able to see the teenage sensation in action live, but on Facebook, one darts fan was happy about the absence of The Nuke.
The PDC on Tuesday posted the playing schedule for the opening day of the Nordic Darts Masters. So, to the luck of a fan named Lee Davis, Littler was not on it. ''Another tournament I can enjoy without a certain person being mentioned all the time!'' he wrote with several laughing emojis. That comment also came under the eyes of Littler himself, who responded with a brilliantly witty comment. ''Enjoy it while u can,'' was Littler's warning to the darts fan who was happy that the 17-year-old Englishman will not be seen in Copenhagen.
Littler also has a nice reason to be missing from the Nordic Darts Masters. That is because he prefers a holiday in Orlando with his family. The reigning youth world champion will go there for a week before he returns to darting action as makes his appearance at the Poland Darts Masters next week.
In addition to Littler, Michael van Gerwen is also not competing in the World Series tournament in Denmark. Van Gerwen, like Littler, stayed in the United States after the US Darts Masters, but left in a westerly direction. He is staying in Las Vegas during the Nordic Darts Masters. Van Gerwen does compete in the tournament in Poland next week as usual.
At the US Darts Masters over the last weekend, Littler was forced to settle for a semi-final spot. The recent Premier League Darts winner came up just short in a thrilling battle with Gerwyn Price at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City.
