Luke Littler will consider getting his dart throwing arm insured in case of injury or problems similar to David Beckham, who used to play for his football team Manchester United.

Littler has become a hot commodity in the sporting world and is worth millions. He will also play for £1million at the World Championship and will likely want to wrap himself up in cotton wool to avoid any sort of nasty accidents.

Michael van Gerwen for instance couldn't play Premier League this past week due to a neck injury he sustained putting a shirt on. So no doubt Littler is thinking ahead in case of any unhappy accidents.

Beckham insured his leg for £78million to mitigate a potential career-ending injury. Also there has to be factors even such as dartitis which can happen to any player realistically. Nathan Aspinall for instance has struggled with his throw for some time.

Albeit he has found a way to get through and still play to his capabilities which has been admirable. But with all eyes on the teenage phenom, he will hope to stop any gaps in earning potential that could come with injury.

“I have not got any insurance just yet," he said as per The Sun admitting that is a possibility.

“But I think that is a thought process to get some because anything can happen. Playing in one competition for a £1million, it’s going to be a different scenario, a different feeling.

“For myself, I will have to get through the rounds and every year, take it game-by-game.”

Onto tonight for 'The Nuke' and he will face off against Gerwyn Price as Premier League Darts action resumes. A player that has been a thorn in the side of the World Champion and has had his number on many occasions recently. Can he turn the tables?
