Could there be a spectacular comeback and see the best darts player ever make a return to the professional game.
Phil Taylor said to BILD "no no, my career is over. I'll be involved in the Seniors tour and working there, but I won't be throwing darts anymore". These chats have come up since many darts players including Northern Irishman, Brendan Dolan has been questioning if Luke Littler will have a better career than Taylor.
The 64 year old retired in 2018 after the Darts World Championship and players the senior tours a few times a year. The Power said "I am very proud of what I have achieved in my career". Taylor is a 16- time Darts World Champion and remains the undisputed record holder.
"Luke Littler is absolutely brilliant. I love the way he operates up there. He's not interested in money. He's interested in titles. He's interested in having fun".
The 64 year old was also spoke about the audience and how it has changed in the last few years and if this will help the players now hit his record of if he believes it could be harder. "There's more fans now at games, they pay their money they can do what they want. They can dress up, they can sing, as long as they enjoy themselves as thats what they pay their money to do, it's okay. But it has definitely changed".
Taylor was also asked the big question, if he believes 18 year old Luke Littler will break his records. "It's much harder now. I probably won 10 World Championships when the schedule wasn't half as full as it is now. But sure the record can be broken. Luke has age on his side". I guess it is just a waiting game but if Phil The Power Taylor believes there's a chance Luke Littler can break his records then there is definitely a chance.
