Luke Littler has recently returned from down under a couple of days ago with two World Series titles, but instead of recovering from jetlag and resting up ahead of a busy end to the year, he showed his support for his local club, Eagles Sports FC.
They are located in The Nuke's hometown of Warrington and play their trade in the Cheshire Football League, the seventh tier of English football. Their youth side would face off against Bruche Athletic in an entertaining 2-2 draw. The 18-year-old also took the time out to take pictures with lucky fans who were stunned to see the World Champion encourage his local club.
On social media, the club showed their gratitude to Littler, as they wrote: "Fantastic to see @LukeTheNuke180 down at The Edintervention Recreation Ground last night, watching our Development fixture v Bruche Athletic. Despite only just being back from New Zealand, he took time out to have photos with some of our youth team players."
Littler is an enthusiastic football fan, supporting Manchester United, who despite being one of the most decorated clubs in English football, slumped to 15th in the Premier League last season. Littler was lucky enough to parade the Sid Waddell trophy around Old Trafford to nearly 70,000 fans in a special moment for the champ. He has also intertwined football and darts, provoking Liverpool fans in a Premier League event after their Merseyside defeat against arch-rivals Everton by holding up a '2-0' to the jeering viewers.
After a disappointing but promising 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, The Nuke will be hoping for his club to bounce back and rise back up the table.

Littler returned from down under triumphant

It was quite the trip to Oceania for Littler, who won all of his matches and lifted two trophies to add to his already vast collection of titles. Off the back of winning his maiden World Matchplay, he went to Wollongong as the overwhelming favourite for the title, but still had to compete with the likes of Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, Gerwyn Price, and the world number one, Luke Humphries.
Despite almost suffering a huge shock in his first tie against New Zealander Haupai Puha, he eased past home-favourite Damon Heta, Bunting in the semis before defeating reigning Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker 8-4 to claim his third World Series title.
With four major titles coming up before the World Championships initiate in December, Littler is going into it as the one to watch, with these two World Series events proving he will be one hard darter to get the better of.
His fourth swiftly followed in Auckland, coming through another tight opening game against Mark Cleaver before going into overdrive. He defeated De Decker once more, before averaging almost 109 in his 7-2 win over Price, and upped that to 115 in the final against a flabbergasted Humphries.
