The 2025 PDC season has
delivered some historic performances so far, with the latest list of match
averages giving us a great insight of who’s thriving and whose flying under the
radar. At the very top, there are no surprises with
Luke Littler leading the
way with an exceptional 101.14 average across 103 games. For someone so young,
it is out of this world how consistently the world No.2 is throwing.
Right being him is current
world No.1
Luke Humphries who has also had a terrific season that has seen him
average 99.31 over 94 games.
Josh Rock is not far off the pair at the top,
averaging 99.06 and showing that his recent rise to the top is no fluke and his
consistent high-power scoring will soon help him deliver a potential major
title. Gerwyn Price rounds up the top with a 98.56 average, playing a ridiculous
125 games, the most games on the list.
The top 20 features a mix of
both established players and rising starts.
Gary Anderson is still proving he
belongs at the top averaging over 98, while young guns such as
Gian van Veen are
showcasing why he is such a promising talent. The likes of Stephen Bunting, Chris
Dobey and Dirk van Duijvenbode are all producing some solid darts. Players such
as
Michael van Gerwen will be slightly disappointed with his positioning,
averaging a respectable 96.29, not quite the MVG we know but a threat in any
tournament.
But perhaps the most eye-catching name on the list is Beau
Greaves. Ranked 32nd with a 93.70 average from just 11 matches, she’s made a
big statement in a small showing. That kind of average is not easy to produce
and by doing it in the men’s circuit with limited opportunities shows just how
high her ceiling. It’s hard not to wonder what she could achieve with more
regular playing time. If the PDC gives her more chances, she could become one
of the breakout stories of the year.
Elsewhere, there are a few surprises. Peter Wright is
further down than usual at 29th, which might raise a few eyebrows. He’s had
flashes of brilliance, but the consistency just hasn’t been there so far.
Dimitri Van den Bergh and Mervyn King are also lower than expected, and it’s
clear they’ve got some work to do if they want to climb back up the rankings.
On the flip side, players like Kevin Doets and Connor Scutt
are quietly putting together solid seasons, while others like Andrew Gilding
and Raymond van Barneveld are still proving they’ve got gas left in the tank.
All in all, it’s shaping up to be an exciting second half of the season. The
big names are delivering, but it’s the emerging stars and unexpected
performances that are making 2025 a year to watch closely.
