Luke Littler set for Pro Tour debut as PDC confirms entries for Players Championship 1 & 2

The PDC has announced the field of participants for the first two Pro Tour tournaments of the new season. Players Championship 1 & 2 are scheduled for Feb. 12 and 13 in Wigan.
Each Players Championship tournament involves 128 players. Initially, the 128 PDC Tour Card holders will have the opportunity to register. If spots are still available, the highest ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit will be invited.
Almost all Tour Card holders have registered for the first Players Championship tournaments of the season. Only Adrian Lewis and Tim Wolters have not signed up. Lewis' absence comes as no surprise. 'Jackpot' has temporarily quit as a professional dart player since April 2023. The vacant spots will be taken by Danny Jansen and Stefan Bellmont.
Also in action will be teenage sensation Luke Littler. The 17-year-old Englishman won a PDC Tour Card by reaching the final at the World Darts Championship and will be making his debut on the Pro Tour. Top players such as Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Dave Chisnall, Rob Cross, Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, James Wade and Peter Wright also signed up.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
