Michael van Gerwen needs a win over Glen Durrant on Thursday evening to keep qualification for the play-offs of the Premier League Darts in his own hands.
Due to the
defeat on Wednesday-evening against Peter Wright, Van Gerwen has
dropped to fifth place in the standings. Durrant is the leader, with only three rounds to go. Duzza has already secured his spot for the final evening.
The pressure is therefore entirely on the Dutchman, according to pundit
Wayne Mardle. ''This game is all about Michael. All the pressure is on him'', he told Sky Sports.
''To an extent there is no pressure on Glen, we know he will play his usual game and won't be flustered. At the moment Michael is looking uncomfortable on the stage. He needs to find a way to relax and play his natural game and he's got to do it now'', Mardle said.
