The Tour Card Holder Qualifier has been completed for
European Tour Event 12, the Swiss Darts Trophy. Taking place in Basel between 27-29 September, 10 more players will join the field after the conclusion of qualifiers in Milton Keynes this afternoon.
As is known by now, the qualification system is different from last year. This season there are only ten starting spots to be distributed instead of 24. That is because in addition to the top-16 of the Pro Tour rankings, the top-16 of the world rankings are also automatically qualified for the Euro Tours.
As a result, 32 players are therefore already qualified for the Swiss Darts Trophy in Basel (Sept. 27-29). Michael van Gerwen, Dave Chisnall, Ross Smith, Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock, Rob Cross, Luke Littler, Michael Smith, Peter Wright, James Wade, Dimitri van den Bergh and Nathan Aspinall are among them.
Now joining them include top seed Mike de Decker who thrashed Robert Owen 6-0 in the final with a 100 average. Cameron Menzies who took down Ian White 6-4 wit a 96 average. He was second seed.
Whilst Dirk van Duijvenbode and Wessel Nijman made it double Dutch success. They saw off Jim Williams and Steve Lennon. Karel Sedlacek, Madars Razma, Jermaine Wattimena, Ryan Meikle, Graham Hall and Richard Veenstra also join the field in Basel.
