Cameron Menzies produced a superb display to dump out Josh Rock and reach the second round of the Players Championship Finals in a game that by his own admission he wasn't expecting to win based on recent form.
"I had a purple patch at the right time and even then, I let him back in the game but I genuinely thought they were flowing and they were just going in. I went 3-3 and I felt like I shouldn't have been, Josh didn't play the way he can or has recently. I'm obviously over the moon with that, I'm ecstatic as there wasn't any nerves there and I wish I could do that all the time. It just felt good," said Menzies to Online Darts.
"No pressure, if I win one, two, three legs it's a bonus but to walk off that stage a winner, I'm over the moon."
The fire burns for the Scot to get to the top but by his admission, he said he doesn't have a B game which is his issue.
"I've had a decent year and I'm here to take part, I'm not just here to just to get scalped and go home. I want to be a professional. Folk close to me know I've got an A-Game but I don't have a B-Game."
An A-game will be needed next when he faces Michael van Gerwen but as far as he is concerned, it is a free hit.
"I'm on a freebie, so whatever happens now. If I get battered 6-0, I'll be gutted but I'll go up there trying. We will see what happens."
