Scott Mitchell is another player who will not be involved this weekend in the latest Players Championship tournaments in Barnsley.
As pointed out by Philip Wolff, he was one of a number of players not to enter European Tour qualifiers on the Friday.
'Scotty Dog' replied to that and said that despite only being away from his farm three times since the UK Open at the turn of the month, he has somehow got COVID-19 and has tested positive.
This means that he will be missing this weekend but in a further comment, he hopes to be back the following weekend when the action shifts to Niedernhausen.
