Monk bounces back from early defeat to edge past Collins, Nicholson sees off Cole

The action continues on Day Four of the MODUS Icons of Darts League with Paul Nicholson, Arron Monk and Jason Askew all in the winners' circle.

Nicholson lost out in the first match to Jason Askew in a 5-4 defeat but bounced back from that immediately by seeing off Jarred Cole in a 5-2 victory which saw 'The Asset' hit 5/8 on his doubles en route.

The same can be said for Arron Monk who lost out to Jason Askew who took out 142 in the deciding leg to cruelly deny the former World Youth Champion the victory, also hitting four 180's and a 99.7 average.

Monk though recovered from that to see off Robert Collins 5-4 in a game which saw him down at 3-0 but he came back to win 5-4 in a deciding leg with 5/7 on the doubles as he aims to repeat his heroics of Day Three.

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
