Askew claimed a 5-2 win over Jarred Cole with a 97.8 average which as a result cemented his place at the top of the table with two 180's and 5/15 on his doubles to boot against the Development Tour winner who himself claimed a second win of the day later on seeing off Askew's main challenger in the standings, Arron Monk.
Nicholson also claimed another victory taking his tally to four points from six available with a 5-3 win over Robert Collins. This was with a 92.5 average and 5/8 on the doubles. One of the best moments of the tie though was undoubtedly Collins's brilliant ten darter where he went back to back 180's and then hit it on the bullseye.
