Monk looks to live up to 'New Kids on the Oche' benchmark set by Cullen and Smith on tour return: "I'll give them the message that I'm back"

Arron Monk will return to the PDC Tour for the first time since 2019 after winning through on Day One of PDC UK Q-School in Milton Keynes defeating Dom Taylor in the final.

Monk, a former World Youth Champion will look to finally live up to his promise when he came into the sport and he spoke to Abigail Davies as part of the PDC's Q-School updates post win.

"It feels great, Double 10 as well. I hit double 10 all day and I did it for the match so I'm over the moon," said Monk to PDC.

Coming through in the New Kids on the Oche with Joe Cullen and Michael Smith - a major champion and the World Number One and World Champion for the latter, he will look to live up to the standard they have set.

"I'm sick of watching them but I'll give them the message that I'm back so I look forward to it."

But what is he expecting from a return to the tour, he believes there is still improvement to come yet so isn't making any wild goals.

"I can do a lot, I can hit 180's and 140's, I just need to hit them every leg. They all say that, I've got to tighten up on my game and then hopefully I will do well."
