Nathan Aspinall made the perfect start to his latest European Tour campaign in Prague this weekend, at the 2025
Czech Darts Open, storming to a 6-0 whitewash over local qualifier Jiri Brejcha, highlighting a dramatic and entertaining Friday night's action.
For Aspinall, who has already claimed title winning success on the Euro Tour in 2025, the two time major champion barely gave his opponent a sniff despite some strong home crowd support for Brejcha, as he powered into round two.
Ryan Searle also looked sharp, easing past another home qualifier 6-2 to book a mouthwatering second-round clash with Dave Chisnall.
Elsewhere it was a night to forget for Daryl Gurney, whose momentum from his semi-final run in Flanders last time out on the Euro Tour was halted by Kevin Doets in the opening round here in Czechia. The Dutchman edged a tense contest 6-4 to send “Superchin” packing in round one.
There was another heavyweight display from Krzysztof Ratajski, who dismantled
Raymond van Barneveld 6-1 in front of the Czech crowd. The Polish number one never looked in danger, while Barney could only shake his head at a below-par showing.

Dirk van Duijvenbode survived a scare against Cor Dekker, squandering a 4-0 lead before steadying himself to close out a 6-4 win. Fellow Dutchman Gian van Veen also progressed, seeing off Maik Kuivenhoven 6-3 to set up a clash with Danny Noppert.
Belgium’s Mike De Decker underlined his growing reputation, averaging over a ton and firing in eight 180s as he swept past Ritchie Edhouse 6-3.
Finally, talented German youngster Niko Springer completed the second round lineup in Prague with a comeback 6-5 victory over
Joe Cullen in a dramatic last left decider in the final match of Friday night at the 2025 Czech Darts Open.
