The final Development Tour of the weekend has been completed with Geert Nentjes sealing the deal for his third career title.
The 23-year-old sealed Event Ten seeing off Jitse van der Wal who was in his second final of the weekend so puts himself in a good position.
While for Nentjes, it is his third title overall after emerging back in 2019 winning two during that year.
The Development Tour is the youth circuit of the PDC. This tour is open for players aged 16 to 23. Players who turn 24 during the season are allowed to continue competing.
In 2022, the PDC Development Tour circuit consists of 24 tournaments. Last year, due to COVID-19, there was a separate tour for British and European players, but this year both circuits have been merged again.
Each Development Tour tournament has a prize pool of £10,000. With the prize money a ranking is made. At the end of the season the numbers one and two receive an invitation to the PDC World Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
