Ben Robb was a recent winner at the John Wilkie Memorial to add to his strong form on the
DPNZ Tour as well as the North Island Masters won this year.
A former World Championship participant, he caught up with Inside the
WDF podcast to discuss what his goals are this year.
"I guess the goal is to play as much as I can and just to try to provide as much opportunity as I can and then test myself further if I choose to," said Robb to the Inside the WDF podcast.
One of those goals is a return to the Alexandra Palace and with his form seeing him claim the opening two DPNZ events with a play-off set for the top 16, this could become a reality.
Alongside that, he has qualified for the World Masters with the priorly mentioned titles so wants to potentially make it into a triple header with Q-School at the end.
"That would be a dream to get back there. To have that opportunity on the World Masters and World Championship and maybe even Q-School and giving that a crack, to be able to do that in one trip being so far away, it would be good to take advantage of it in one big go."
"The number one goal is to get to Ally Pally and to do that I've just got to try my best to dominate the DPNZ tour.
His debut at the World Championship came with a defeat to Ron Meulenkamp and he knows what he needs to do when he next gets the opportunity.
"It was an amazing opportunity just to be amongst it. I feel like to succeed in that event you've got to go through one to feel it out, it's a bit different in the format. I played the moment in my mind a bit too much. Just little things like that being a bit more prepared next time."
