London to move to tier 3, England's highest tier of Covid restrictions, from Wednesday bbc.in/3qUrh8O
The PDC World Darts Championship was set to be the first darts event with fans in the UK since the Coronavirus pandemic began but that looks unlikely to be the case now.
London will move into tier 3 from Wednesday onwards, the second day of the showpiece event which is the highest level of alert in the UK Government's Coronavirus system.
This means that restaurants, pubs and non-essential retail will shut and no mixing will be allowed indoors and large sporting events cannot take place with fans which affects the tournament.
As a result, like the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible a few months ago, it seems like only one day will be staged with fans which is the opening night featuring World Champion, Peter Wright then it will be back behind closed doors.
