Luke Littler will play the World Cup of Darts alongside Luke Humphries after all confirming that he will head to Frankfurt between June 12-15 despite voicing his displeasure with Germany recently.

Initially Littler voiced frustration with the Munich crowd and threatened to boycott future events in Germany in a quickly deleted social media post. “Shouldn’t have been in Munich but had to play anyway, next one in Germany for me is Dortmund [in October] and I am glad to say that.”
Sky Sports commentator Stuart Pyke hit out at those making a story out of nothing in this case despite Littler putting the story on his social media so could be taken at face value. He said that his withdrawal this weekend has nothing to do with a boycott.
“The reason he's pulled out of this weekend's Euro Tour is scheduling, nothing less. It's all a bit of fuss out of nothing. He said something, he didn't mean it,” Pyke said on Sky Sports.
But while he is not playing in Sindelfingen this weekend, this won't extend to Frankfurt next month as Littler plans to partner Luke Humphries.
“No, no I was always. Luke (Humphries) will want to go back-to-back and obviously I want to win it for the first time," said Littler post win over Van Gerwen in the Night 13 final. Even though it’s not a major, it’s still playing for your country.”
This is a blow to Stephen Bunting in particular who hoped to make his World Cup of Darts debut if like Michael van Gerwen he was set to withdraw. He said in a recent interview that he would be next in line so was waiting to see what happened.

But it seems that Team England will get their dream duo which were clamoured for last year and the subject of much chatter despite Littler not even being in contention for a spot due to rankings until he recently won the World Championship. Some asked for the rules to be changed to include Littler at the time. But now he will make his debut in Frankfurt.
