Danny Noppert is successfully through to the third round at the 2020 PDC World Championship having defeated impressive debutant Callan Rydz.
Noppert was 2-1 down and potentially on the verge of losing out to Rydz but a late surge from the Dutchman in a game that always proved to be even saw him get over the line.
To begin the tie, Rydz produced brilliance in the first set to take it in a decider as his practice partner Chris Dobey conducted his post match interviews, he did so with two 180s and at the time a 94.5 average and 60 percent on the doubles.
Noppert tied it up though as it once again was sent to a deciding leg as he restored parity with Rydz having sent the match to a deciding leg but he kept his cool on throw to level the tie up at 1-1.
'The Riot' though claimed the requisite set winning it 3-2 in the decider and producing some real clutch darts pinning 86 on the bull to do and potentially claim the advantage against the Dutchman but this didn't prove to be the case.
Rydz started to get almost finishing lineitis and Noppert cruised to the fourth set without reply to force a deciding set.
Noppert continued his roll from there break throw to hit the front in the deciding set but Rydz broke back. Despite that, a 110 checkout from Noppert proved to be the catalyst as he stormed to victory.
