Noppert overcomes Schindler in thriller, Chisnall averages 105 in De Sousa win

The afternoon session is complete on Saturday at the Dutch Darts Championship with Danny Noppert and Dave Chisnall moving through to the final day in Zwolle.

Both came through thrilling ties to conclude the session with Noppert eventually sealing the win over Martin Schindler on his eighth match dart in a quality contest which saw 'Noppie' go 5-4 up with a 74 checkout before he began missing match darts allowing 'The Wall' to ask the question before he finally claimed it 6-5.

This with a 98 average and three 180's as he denied a 100 average and five 180's from the German.

Dave Chisnall was even better in seeing off Jose de Sousa in another near perfect performance from the St Helens ace emerging a 6-3 winner.

He produced a 105 average, three 180's and a high checkout of 122 as well as 54.5% on the doubles in a match where he went 3-0 up before De Sousa mounted a charge only for Chisnall to surge away to the winner concluding it with an 11-darter.
