Gerwyn Price has been dumped out of the PDC World Darts Championship after defeat to Gabriel Clemens with the top seed at the Alexandra Palace even donning ear protectors for a time during the match.
Price as usual took to Instagram to share his frustration at losing to Clemens saying he doesn't think he will ever play in the tournament again after not being allowed to play.
This of course will be making reference to the heavy German contingent at the Ally Pally who were vociferous behind their man.
"So frustrating you play all year round preparing for this one tournament. So gutted I wasn't let play but good luck everyone left in," said 'The Iceman' on his Instagram.
"Not sure I will ever play in this event again," he concluded.
So much hate for the greatest Welsh darts player ever. Perhaps thats it, Jurassic Darters from the BNP era dont much like anything non English.
I will never condone abuse to players but if you think people dislike Price because he's Welsh then you are wrong. It might have something to do with his arrogance. He can't give any credit to his opponent. Gabriel Clemens got and played his darts and outplayed him with an average of nearly 100. Price drew attention to himself and it backfired as it felt like a distraction tactic. But I suppose he got what he wanted and everyone is talking about him and not the man who won...
Hope he actually follows through with his promise this time. No loss to the sport if he quits.
I wasn’t let play ???????? Elocution lessons are required. What a plum, pathetic.
