An 11-year-old has been recognised by the PDC after becoming one of the youngest players to hit a
nine-dart finish with his pin arriving in the post.
Earlier this month, Harvey Stringer, 11, who is already well known in the darting world achieved the feat while competing in an online match.
He went the usual 180, 180, 141 route and after revealing his feat on Twitter, the likes of Wayne Mardle called for him to get a pin usually reserved for professional players.
The PDC duly obliged and sent him his own nine-dart pin.
“He was up 3-0 at that point and I just got this feeling that he was going to hit the nine,” said Harvey's mum, Clare to
Diss Express.
“The next thing I knew, the kitchen door flew open and Harvey ran in saying he’d just hit a nine-dart finish – my husband was speechless."
