Order of Merit Players Championship after PC 14 | Wessel Nijman clear at top after another title, Max Hopp climbs into top 10 with Luke Littler still on zero

The Players Championship series comprises a total of 34 tournaments which take place over Hildesheim, Wigan, Leicester, Milton Keynes and new for 2026, a trip to Den Bosch.

It sees the top names including Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen in action over the course of the year with the PDC ProTour being seen as the so-called Bread and Butter tournaments that help towards qualifying for most majors including the PDC World Darts Championship.

But the Players Championship Order of Merit is the one to watch for this series as it sees the top 64 players over the course of the season qualify for the Players Championship Finals which take place in Minehead at the end of November.

It is determined based on total prize money won by each player in the Players Championship events throughout the year. The top 64 qualify and it also spells some issues as it did in 2025 for the likes of Luke Littler, Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries who had to qualify late. Michael van Gerwen for instance did not qualify at all.

Wessel Nijman continues to lead the way at the top, and by a country mile. He sits on £99,500 after yet another title triumph, on the cusp of making it past the £100,000 stage despite it only being May.

Chris Dobey’s second round exit keeps him in second with £67,750, extending the gap to PC 13 champion Kevin Doets who left a round earlier than ‘Hollywood.’ The Dutchman sits on £57,000 earned.

Bea Greaves was not able to find the spark in Hildesheim. She remains fourth with £38.500 to continue an unchanged top nine. James Wade (£38,250) and PC 13 finalist Luke Woodhouse (£34,750) remain in fifth and sixth. Andrew Gilding (£34,500) Ross Smith (£33,250) follow in hot pursuit while the absent Gerwyn Price (£32,750) stays planted in ninth.

PC 14 runner-up Max Hopp shot up the order after a fine day at the office. Starting in 22, he is now in the top 10 thanks to that deep run, boasting a grand total of £32,250. Joe Cullen sits 11th with the two losing semi-finalists Tom Bissell and Danny Noppert sat right behind.

Quarterfinals for Krzysztof Ratajski and Joe Hunt move then just inside the top 20, lurking behind Gary Anderson in 18th. Michael van Gerwen can only manage 35th after a disappointing showing. Gian van Veen, Peter Wright, Raymond van Barneveld and Dimitri Van den Bergh are some of the big names outside the top 64. Luke Littler is yet to open his account in 2026, stuck on zero.
