The latest Challenge Tour weekend is over with Owen Bates adding to his title haul as he denies Wesley Plaisier a title double.
Plaisier won the first title of the weekend, but Bates joins Darryl Pilgrim, Robert Grundy and Cameron Crabtree as another different winner this weekend.
Bates, known for his humorous nickname 'The Master' was thus in Milton Keynes edging past Plaisier 5-4. This after taking down Sebastian Bialecki, Thibault Tricole, Berry van Peer and Stefan Bellmont en route.
On this tour, spots for the 2023 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2024 and 2025 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.
The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship.
