PDC Chairman, Eddie Hearn has made his mark in his biggest move yet since taking over the reigns from his father Barry by increasing the prize money through the £15m barrier in 2022.
As part of this increased prize fund over the next two years, one of the biggest boosts is set for the World Matchplay which will rise to £800,000 including £200,000 to the champion.
The World Grand Prix is one of three further majors to benefit with £550,000 (from £450,000) for the double start tournament.
The Grand Slam will now hold £650,000 in prize money and the Players Championship Finals to £600,000. All increased by £100,000 each.
While the onus will be further on ProTour tournaments with the Players Championship series set to increase to £100,000 for each tournament from £75,000 previously.
In addition, further TV events and the European Tour will also benefit from 2023 onwards.
