Peter Wright will aim for a second World title on December 17 when he starts his PDC
World Darts Championship campaign.
He first reached the final in 2014 losing 7-4 to Michael van Gerwen in a make or break year for 'Snakebite'.
"That was the year that if I didn't do any good as well that we'd have to call it a day. I wasn't ready to be World Champion, in my head even though I tried, I missed a few doubles to win sets but last time I knew I was ready," said Wright to the PDC.
Onto 2020 and he finally beat Michael van Gerwen to win a major and it was the biggest one of them all.
"It meant more beating Michael (van Gerwen), the amount of finals that I've given him. I didn't have the thing to cross the line and to win."
"I achieved my dream of being World Champion from starting off from the age of 13 wanting to play darts."
