Five tournaments of the PDC Challenge Tour 2023 are scheduled again from August 11 to 13. It is the fourth of five tournament weekends of the season.
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who participated in the Q-School, but did not win a Tour Card. On this tour, starting tickets for the 2023 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2024 and 2025 can be earned. The highest ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for the reserve spots at the Players Championships.
The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship. In addition, the number one on the final ranking may also participate in the Grand Slam of Darts.
After 14 of 24 tournaments, Berry van Peer is in pole position to take the top prizes. The Dutchman has built a monster lead during the first tournaments of the PDC Challenge Tour 2023.
Van Peer earned a total of 11,850 pounds during the first fourteen tournaments. Chris Landman and Christian Kist are in a tie for second place with 5050 pounds, so they will have a lot of catching up to do to get Van Peer in trouble. The players in spots two through ten are only 1050 pounds apart, so it looks to be an exciting battle for second place during the remaining tournaments of the Challenge Tour this year.
