The PDC has announced the darts calendar for 2024. Tournaments are scheduled on more than 170 days, along with visits to some new destinations.
In 2024, a tournament will be played in Switzerland for the first time. Basel will in fact host one of the Euro Tour tournaments. There will also be two Euro Tours in Belgium (Wieze and Antwerp) and one in the Netherlands (Rosmalen), among others.
An important change has been made regarding the Players Championship tournaments. These will only be played on weekdays in 2024 at playing venues in Wigan, Leicester, Hildesheim and Milton Keynes.
The new season kicks off from January 8 to 14 with the PDC Q-School in Kalkar and Milton Keynes, where several PDC Tour Cards can again be earned. Then, on Feb. 1 in Cardiff, the new season of Premier League Darts kicks off. On Thursday, April 18, it is Ahoy Rotterdam's turn again. The final night is on May 23 in London.
The first televised tournament of the season is the Masters in Milton Keynes from Feb. 2 to 4. The UK Open in Minehead is scheduled from March 1 to 3. From June 27 to 30 is the
World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, before the
World Matchplay takes place July 13 to 21 in Blackpool.
Amsterdam hosts the World Series of Darts Finals from Sept. 13 to 15. The
World Grand Prix is scheduled from October 7 through 13. A venue for this tournament has yet to be announced.
The top 32 players on the 2024 PDC European Tour will compete for the title at the European Championship in Dortmund from Oct. 24 to 27. The
Grand Slam of Darts is scheduled from Nov. 9 to 17 in Wolverhampton.
Then the top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit may compete in the Players Championship Finals in Minehead from November 22 to 24. Then again in December is the World Darts Championship.
In 2024, the PDC Challenge Tour, Development Tour and Women's Series will again consist of 24 tournaments each. In each of these, starting tickets for televised tournaments can be earned.
