PDC statistician Christopher Kempf again looked at the form of the ten hottest PDC players, based on their last 200 legs, immediately following the Premier League Playoffs and the European Darts Open in Leverkusen.

Two Lukes continue dominance

Luke Humphries and Luke Littler have grabbed every major title so far in 2025, and that translates into a power grab in the PDC Form Guide that cannot be ignored. Humphries' win in Premier League Darts catapulted him to the lead in averages - a particularly punishing 101.77 - a level approached only by his namesake and for Humphries it represents the highest annual average to date. Of his 200 most recent legs, he won 83 of them in 15 darts or less: a stunning 55% conversion on all his 15-darter chances.
Yet Humphries does not claim the throne uncontested. Littler remains ahead of him, albeit narrowly, in terms of the circuit's best finishing percentage. The difference between the two and the rest is so great that Littler would, theoretically, snatch one extra leg per 1,000 legs from the average Pro Tour player. Both Lukes remain miles ahead of the rest of the PDC field.
At a respectable distance from the first two, Josh Rock completed the top three. During his last 200 legs played, the Northern Irishman clocked in at an average of 100.25 and 42.35% on his doubles.
Nathan Aspinall has also continued to ascend as 'The Asp' has had the biggest increase in averages or checkout efficiency over the past month. He also has seen a huge increase in 180's up to a personal best of 70 for 2025.
Stephen Bunting is enjoying a successful season with a World Cup semifinal and wins on both the European Tour and the World Series of Darts. But his eighth-place finish in Premier League Darts was a setback, and the reason is obvious: finishing. At 33% on doubles (104th in the PDC), his finishing is a stark contrast to the world class of his peers. Only four finishes of 99 or 101+ in 200 legs explain why 'The Bullet' wins fewer legs than his scoring ability allows.
Bunting may be fourth in the world rankings, but he remains closer to the tail of the Order of Merit than to number one Humphries - unless his doubles start hitting fast.
Conclusion
Humphries and Littler set the tone and behind them a large gap is opening. The 2025 PDC season is dictated by two Lukes for now, but the chase is on.
