Darts venues in the United Kingdom can now apply to host the PDC Community Qualifiers for the 2026
UK Open. In doing so, the PDC is once again offering opportunities for amateur players to qualify for one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year through local qualifiers.
During the 2025 edition, Newport, Bridgend, Plymouth and Derbyshire, among others, served as playing cities for the Community Qualifiers. Each location eventually delivered a player who reached the big stage at Butlin's Minehead Resort. There, they got to compete against the biggest names in darts - a unique experience for any amateur dart player.
Opportunity for darts clubs
The PDC is now inviting darts clubs and accommodations to apply for the upcoming cycle. Clubs that are selected will have the opportunity to host an official qualifying tournament.
These qualifiers may consist of several preliminary rounds or knockouts, which eventually culminate in a decisive final day. The winner of that event crowns himself an Amateur Qualifier and secures a spot at the 2026 UK Open in Minehead, where he or she will compete among the pros.
Interested venues can express their interest through an official registration form. After registration, the PDC will contact the respective clubs to discuss all details and conditions.

Unique opportunity for the darts community
With this initiative, the PDC wants to strengthen its ties with the local darts community and give talented amateurs the chance to break through on the highest stage. The UK Open is known as the "FA Cup of darts," where amateurs and top professionals can face each other directly through an open draw.
So for darts venues, this is not only an opportunity to be part of a major PDC event, but also to put their club in the spotlight and offer new talent a springboard toward the professional circuit.
