PDC Order of Merit Update: Dimitri van den Bergh rises three spots and is back in world's top eight

Dimitri van den Bergh has returned to the top eight in the world rankings. By winning a Players Championship title in Hildesheim, 'The Dreammaker' moved up three spots.
The Belgian held the tenth spot on the PDC Order of Merit prior to the Pro Tour duel, but has now moved up to seventh. The gap to number six Rob Cross is quite substantial though as that difference is £98,250 in prize money. The top six in the world rankings are otherwise unchanged. Luke Humphries is the clear leader ahead of Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith. Behind them, Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall complete the top five.
Dave Chisnall, Jonny Clayton and Peter Wright all dropped one spot due to Van den Bergh's rise, while Joe Cullen swapped positions with Ross Smith and is now 14th in the rankings. Daryl Gurney passed Brendan Dolan and is now again the second Northern Irishman on the PDC Order of Merit.
Gian van Veen is just one spot away from entering the global top-32 and is now ranked No. 33 in the world. Alan Soutar moved up three spots after his tournament victory at Players Championship 11 and now holds the 41st position.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
