After tickets for the Premier League Darts 2025 went on sale at record speed, the PDC has announced a new partnership with ASM Global. This company heads up five playing cities in the United Kingdom that will be visited during the yearly, touring darts spectacle.
They are the AO Arena Manchester, Utilita Arena Newcastle, First Direct Arena Leeds, Utilita Arena Sheffield and P&J Live Aberdeen. A new agreement has agreed to keep these playing venues on the Premier League calendar until at least 2027. Aberdeen was part of the Premier League Darts for the first time in 2006. That was then at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, but nowadays it is played at the P&J Live. Newcastle and Sheffield joined the circuit in 2007, followed by Manchester in 2008. Leeds debuted in 2014 with the attendance of 11,000 fans, which was a record at the time.
Teenage sensation Luke Littler was crowned Premier League champion in 2024 and will renew his rivalry with current world champion Luke Humphries and seven-time Premier League winner Michael van Gerwen among other top darting stars in 2025.
"These five venues are amongst the biggest and most popular which are visited annually by the Premier League and it's great to secure their immediate future through this new agreement with ASM Global," said PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter on the PDC website. "The 2024 BetMGM Premier League was the biggest in the 20-year history of the event, and we're already seeing record interest from fans who are snapping up tickets for next year's eagerly awaited season."
The Premier League Darts 2025 begins on Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Northern Irish capital of Belfast. The final night will take place on Thursday, May 29, at the O2 Arena in London. The top four players from the first 16 weeks of play will then compete for the prestigious Premier League title.
