The PDC Women's Series returns again on Saturday with Events Five and Six taking place in Wigan with Beau Greaves aiming to continue her darting dominance after reaching 113 matches unbeaten in Hildesheim last time out.
Greaves will play this weekend with her not playing in the European Tour and also unlike last time, she won't be playing ProTour as there is no action other than Premier League next week so it is an empty week. There will be two Women's Series events today and two tomorrow.
As well as the queen of the Women's Series, the Queen of the Palace in Fallon Sherrock will be one of the leading lights involved this weekend alongside Lisa Ashton who last time out made a habit of running into Greaves in the final of each of the Women's Series tournaments.

Van Leuven, De Graaf, Hedman join likes of Greaves, Sherrock and Ashton

Noa-Lynn van Leuven is also involved in the hunt for titles as one of the leading lights in action in Wigan this weekend with Aileen de Graaf, Rhian O'Sullivan and Women's World Champion, Deta Hedman also involved. All aiming to stop the continued rise of the now Tour Card holder in Greaves who has gone from strength to strength.
The prizes on offer include spots at the Women's World Matchplay which is done on a year rolling system from July when the event takes place until the following season so it is well underway. While the PDC World Darts Championship and Grand Slam of Darts offers a multitude of spots. Unlike the Challenge Tour or Development Tour, there are no Tour Cards for the champion. All action is on PDCTV or DartConnect with two tournaments on Sunday.

Beau Greaves returns to winning ways at Event Six

Beau Greaves has sealed her 51st Women's Series title to conclude Saturday in Wigan. Her utterly incredible run came to an end earlier in the day at 114 games but she didn't let that stop her pursuit of being the top Women's player once more.
Greaves won 5-0 against the ever improving Gemma Hayter in the final with a 101 average after seeing off Robyn Byrne (5-2), Eleanor Cairns (5-0), Trina Gulliver (4-2), Laura Turner (4-2) and Laura Van den Berg (4-0).
Her highest outside that 101 being a 98 in round one. Lisa Ashton who won Event Five lost in the Last 16 4-0 to Gemma Hayter. She also took down Fallon Sherrock in the round after.
But going into the next two tomorrow, it is the two leading lights on top in Ashton and Greaves.

Lisa Ashton reigns supreme in PDC Women's Series Event Five

Event Five was completed on Saturday afternoon with Lisa Ashton reigning supreme against Fallon Sherrock in the final in Wigan.
Ashton defeated Julie Whitehouse (4-0), WDF Women's World Champion Deta Hedman 4-1, former WDF World Master Lorraine Hyde 4-2, Steph Clarke who is ever improving 4-1 before taking down another top trio.
Firstly Kirsi Viinikainen 5-4, then Gemma Hayter 5-2 and finally Fallon Sherrock 5-3. Sherrock is the reason that Beau Greaves did not add to her record extending run.
Lisa Ashton (6)
Women's World Matchplay champion Lisa Ashton back in the winners circle.
It is 114 and done for Beau N Arrow who lost in the second round to Sherrock who averaged a whopping 102. Greaves herself averaged 100 and lost 4-1. This also shows that despite the women's game continuing to improve there are only a few who can really produce that mark.
It is also very much retribution for Ashton who scoops her 19th title as she has been on the receiving end often of pretty one sided defeats to Greaves in finals like Sherrock on the Women's Series this year and finally has her reward.
Others to reach the latter stages included Robyn Byrne who lost to Sherrock in the semi-finals. Aileen de Graaf was defeated by Gemma Hayter in the Quarter-FInals. While Rhian O'Sullivan's charge was quelled by Kirsi Viinikainen. It is the first of two events today with the draw below for Event Six.
