PDC Women's Series Order of Merit: Beau Greaves secures top spot, Noa-Lynn Van Leuven close to participating in Grand Slam and World Darts Championships

Beau Greaves was the top player again last weekend during the fifth tournament weekend of the 2024 PDC Women's Series. She won two of the four tournaments played, securing top spot on the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit.
After twenty of the 24 Women's Series tournaments, Greaves leads the rankings with 21,200 pounds. With four tournaments remaining, her lead over her main competitors has become unbridgeable. The winner of each tournament receives 2,000 pounds, and Greaves now has an 8,200-pound lead over number two Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
For Van Leuven, however, there is still plenty to play for. The top two players behind Greaves may participate in the World Darts Championship. In addition, the number two on the rankings may also compete in the Grand Slam of Darts. Van Leuven herself is 2,200 pounds ahead of number three Fallon Sherrock, who thus still holds a virtual World Championship spot.
Sherrock, however, will have to pull out all the stops during the final tournament weekend to keep Mikuru Suzuki (9700 pounds) and Lisa Ashton (9000 pounds) behind her. Gemma Hayter and Aileen de Graaf are too far behind to still have a realistic chance of winning one of this circuit's top prizes.
Hayter was also one of the tournament winners last weekend and is now sixth on the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit with 6900 pounds. Robyn Byrne also managed a tournament victory, moving her up to eighth on the rankings.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
