Peter Wright and Gary Anderson set for quarter-final showdown at Players Championship 3

Peter Wright and Gary Anderson have secured a spot in the last eight at the third Players Championship tournament.
Wright reached the last 8 with a commanding 6-1 victory over teenage talent, Leighton Bennett, averaging 104.01 in the process. Anderson meanwhile saw off Jeffrey Sparidaans 6-0 in his last 16 tie.
Michael van Gerwen is also into the next round after a 6-4 victory over former world champion Michael Smith, as is Danny Noppert. Van Gerwen and Noppert will play Steve Lennon and Ryan Searle, respectively, in the quarter-finals.
Elsewhere, Luke Littler took victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode, whilst Callan Rydz launched a brilliant comeback to defeat Daryl Gurney in a deciding leg.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
