Players Championship Finals Order of Merit: Peter Wright must reach final at last Pro Tour event to qualify

Thursday the last Players Championship tournament of the season will be played. After this tournament, it will be known which 64 players will get to compete in the Players Championship Finals in Minehead from Nov. 24 to 26.

Nathan Aspinall will not be here anyway. 'The Asp' deliberately skipped the last tournament so he can attend his wife's birthday. European Championship winner Peter Wright also does not appear to be attending. Snakebite' needs to reach at least the semifinals and most likely the final on Thursday to qualify for the Players Championship Finals.

The final qualifying spot is currently occupied by Steve Beaton. Behind 'The Bronzed Adonis' are Ricky Evans, Jeffrey Sparidaans, Martijn Kleermaker and Mervyn King, among others.

At the top, there is another battle for first place on the Players Championship Order of Merit. The ranking is currently led by Gerwyn Price, who won the title in Barnsley on Wednesday. 'The Iceman' has a 1,500-pound lead over number two Gary Anderson on the final day of the Players Championship circuit.
