These are the standings in the qualifying race for the World Darts Championship with just one tournament to go

It will be make or break for many darters on Thursday during the final Players Championship tournament of the season. This will be the last chance for players to compete for qualifying places at the World Darts Championship via the Pro Tour.

The players in the top-32 world rankings are all safe. Should they fall out of the top-32, they can fall back to their Pro Tour rankings. That does not apply to No. 33 Alan Soutar, who is also currently outside the qualifying spots via the Pro Tour Order of Merit. The Scot will likely need a quarterfinal on Thursday to still qualify for the tournament at Alexandra Palace.

Looking at the Pro Tour Order of Merit, we can assume that the first 26 names on this ranking are safe. Number 27 Jules van Dongen also seems to be in good shape. He has a 2,500-pound lead over number 33.

The final qualifying spots via the Pro Tour are currently held by Ritchie Edhouse, Niels Zonneveld, Jermaine Wattimena, Keegan Brown and Bradley Brooks. However, the difference between No. 32 Brown and No. 33 Kuivenhoven is only 250 pounds.

Winning or losing one match Thursday could be the difference between qualifying for the World Darts Championship or not. Behind Kuivenhoven are Stephen Burton and Martijn Kleermaker also just 250 pounds behind Brooks. In a tie, they currently possess a lesser countback than Kuivenhoven.
