Diogo Portela will be able to play at PDC
Q-School from Sunday despite initial issues with COVID-19 rules.
Portela recently tested positive but was informed that the rules state he has to be clean within the past 10 days before the beginning of the tournament on Sunday.
This means that a negative test wasn't going to be enough in this instance and the Brazilian was seemingly going to miss out on Q-School.
"Completely devastated here. I won’t be able to participate in the q-school next week. I’m recovering from Covid but even though my 10th day of isolation is today the rules states you got to be clean within the past 10 days of the beginning of the tournament. Lost of words," he said on Twitter.
Since time of writing, Portela revealed that the PDC called and as long as he tests negative within the next two days before the tournament he is good to go.
