Prakash Jiwa is set to make another appearance at the upcoming World Darts Championship. 'The Apache,' as his nickname goes, managed to get through the qualifying tournament for darters from India last weekend.
Jiwa's main rival Nitin Kumar went down in the quarterfinals against Aal Nakeeran (4-2). Jiwa himself won against Amit Gilitwala 4-0 in that round. After that, Jiwa triumphed 4-0 against Gilitwala.
In the final, Jiwa faced Bhaval Patel. Thanks to a 160 finish that match ended 6-1 in favor of Jiwa, who was also there last year in Alexandra Palace. Then he lost in the first round 3-1 in sets to Madars Razma.
