Michael van Gerwen has seized power in the Premier League Darts after a successful night in Glasgow. 'Mighty Mike' captured his second consecutive weekly title in the Scottish city of play.
Van Gerwen managed to win Thursday night against Peter Wright (6-2), Rob Cross (6-4) and Luke Humphries (6-5). The 34-year-old from Vlijmen stands on a points total of ten points after three rounds of play.
The gap to number two Michael Smith is three points. Smith went to Glasgow as the leader, but lost to Rob Cross in his first match. 'Voltage' is now sixth with four points.
Still on top are Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price with five points each. Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright are still scoreless in Premier League Darts after three rounds of play.
