Luke Littler makes a crying gesture toward the crowd
Luke Humphries has won the last two nights held in Leeds, a special one for him given he supports Leeds United. But it also one he needs for his Premier League Darts play-off hopes. Albeit it was yet another final loss.

Humphries lost a week ago in Aberdeen 6-5 to Luke Littler and again it was a narrow win for Littler as Humphries missed match darts in what could've been a vital win but despite not winning in his second home, it is very much a good week to add more points in his play-off hunt.
For Littler, he wins a third week in a row as he and Jonny Clayton continue to hoover up the weeks and he saw off his main rival and Michael van Gerwen en route to sealing the win.
An 82 checkout for Littler to make it 1-1 after a 94 from Humphries. A 132 from Humphries saw him lead but Littler came back with a 146 checkout for 2-2. Littler missed 127 on the bull and Humphries is back for double 20 but he misses both top of the shop and double 10. But Littler misses three and Humphries is back for 3-2.
Littler misses 82 but he's back for double 10 to make it 3-3 eventually but wasn't pinning doubles as easily. A 180 from Humphries to leave 76 as he looks for a hold. Littler sat on 82 if he misses but he doesn't as he makes it 4-3. Humphries went one away with a 42 checkout.
Humphries missed 78 to seal the hat-trick of night wins in Leeds and Littler hit 64 to make it 5-5 but Humphries had the throw. A 180 to leave 82 for an 11-darter for Littler.
But he was way in front so despite an uncharacteristic chase around the board, he left double 13. Humphries left 100 in case Littler had to mess around but Littler split 26 to hit double 10 first time.

How it happened - Health stricken Price struggles as Littler and Humphries make final

To start the night, Gerwyn Price admitted he was battling illness and he later confirmed that on his Instagram story with a prognosis to come in the next few weeks. He lost to a player who usually he has the number over and that is Jonny Clayton.
His World Cup teammate has long worked to put their friendship aside and seal regular wins but given his prowess in this year's Premier League it is perhaps no surprise that he could. A 12-darter from Clayton after breaking on double four took a 2-0 lead. Price missed dart after dart to break and Clayton too to hold but he was back for double one to go 3-1 up.
Clayton broke again with a 68 checkout on double 16 for 4-1 and was throwing to go one away. Clayton went one away with a 48 checkout but Price hit double 20 for a 12-darter to go 5-2 down. Clayton pinned double five to seal it.

Luke Littler then found his feet against Michael van Gerwen winning in one of many deciders tonight. He broke for 3-1 pinning double 10 but after a poor leg in which they took 11 attempts to win it. Van Gerwen held for 4-3. He broke also aiming for parity. But Littler came back with a 141 but he sealed the win from there to move through to that top of the table clash with Clayton.
Then it was Luke Humphries' turn in front of his second home as he supports Leeds United but living further North now, it is also close to home. He faced Josh Rock and again only won narrowly. Humphries got a great reception as expected wearing the colours of his beloved Leeds United but missed the bull for 72.
Rock though missed three darts to break but he was back with Humphries missing again as 'Rocky' returned for double four.
Humphries left 68 in case Rock didn't hit 78 and he didn't. Humphries returned but missed darts on double 16. Rock returned missing three darts to break again but Humphries missed three more. Rock hit double five to break for 2-1 and he was now throwing for 3-1. But Humphries turned it and went 3-2 up hitting 42 after breaking. The breaks continued and Humphries hit 72 for a 14-darter to go 5-3 up.

Rock pinned double 16 for a 12-darter to make it 5-5 but Humphries was throwing for the win. One he claimed with an 84 checkout. Then it was Stephen Bunting's turn who saw off Gian van Veen. Again another decider but one in which Bunting threw first. He got over the line on double 16 in the end.
Onto the semi-finals and Jonny Clayton had the early impetus going 3-2 up with a 12-darter but Littler turned it breaking and holding then on double 16 for 4-3. Clayton hit a 12-darter but returned for double two for 5-5. But Littler pinned double 20 after Clayton missed a chance at 91.
Next was Humphries facing Bunting and the latter led 2-0 and led for the majority. He missed the bull and Bunting kept his nose in front on 56 for 3-2. Humphries hit double 16 to make it 3-3, a 121 checkout made it 4-3 for Bunting who edged ahead again. He missed 87 for 5-3 but he broke to go one away but Humphries quickly forced a decider and took it to set that final with Littler.
